Training courses for specialists of the Namangan and Syrdarya regional departments and divisions of the Sanepid Committee

Specialists of the Namangan and Syrdaryo Regional Departments and Departments of the Sanepid Committee participated in this 5-day training course on "Biological Safety and Biological Defense" organized in cooperation with the Centre for Retraining and Advanced Training of Personnel in the Field of Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health and United Nations Project Services (UNOPS).

During the course, lectures were given by N. Karshiyeva and G. Radjapbayeva, specialists of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health Committee, as well as M. Madaminov and I. Zaitov, experts in the field. The experts' reports focused on issues related to biological risk levels, principles of biosafety, and dangerous infections.

During the training, the participants increased their theoretical and practical knowledge of biosecurity, bioprotection, risk management and emergency preparedness.

The participants also got acquainted with the activities of the Virology Laboratory of the Sanitary Committee. Laboratory employee I. Zaitov gave detailed explanations on biosafety control measures. At the end of the course, certificates were handed over to the participating experts from the Namangan and Syrdarya regions departments of the Sanepid Committee.

Specialists of departments and departments of the Jizzakh and Samarkand regions of the Sanepid Committee are participating in the next training courses.
