International training was held in our capital

On September 15-19, 2025, the next training on the topic "Organization and management of laboratory activities" was held as part of the "Global Program for Laboratory Leaders" (GLLP) in cooperation with the Centre for Retraining and Advanced Training of Personnel in the Field of Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health and the World Health Organization.

At the seminar-training, the director of the Centre for Retraining and Advanced Training of Personnel in the Field of Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health, O'Shukurov, emphasized the importance of introducing modern management methods in laboratory systems, increasing the capacity of personnel, and expanding international cooperation. He also noted that this project is an important step in the development of the opportunities created for laboratory managers and personnel qualification.

In the training program, expert lectures were heard in areas such as laboratory systems and financial management, cost analysis and general management skills, issues of preventing and fighting corruption.

Also, Feruza Abdusamatova, representative of UZINFOSOM, the only integrator for the creation and support of state information systems, gave a presentation on "Laboratory information systems" and gave detailed explanations on the introduction of automated LIS, data protection and cyber security.

During the training, the participants conducted practical exercises in groups and shared knowledge and experience through their presentations. At the end of the event, certificates were awarded to all participants of the project.

For reference, the GLLP program is significant in that it aims to improve and further develop the national laboratory system by mentoring and training laboratory leaders in the human health, animal health and environmental sectors.
