In the Senate and the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, an introductory meeting was held within the framework of the "Global Program for Laboratory Leaders/Managers"

"Global Program for Laboratory Leaders/Managers" (GLLP) aimed at developing the national laboratory system and adapting it to international standards is being implemented in Uzbekistan in cooperation with the center for retraining and improving the qualifications of personnel in the field of sanitary and epidemiological welfare and public health and the World Health Organization.
As part of the program's training on leadership, the audience visited the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Bahrom Abdullayev, chairman of the Senate Committee on Science, Education and Health Affairs, and Gulnora Marufova, a member of the committee, gave detailed information to the meeting participants about the process of discussing laws in the parliament, the procedure for reviewing legislative proposals, and relevant reforms.
During the visit, the participants had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the activities of the upper house of the parliament.
In the afternoon, the audience visited the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
During the event, the Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mavludakhon Khodjayeva and the Chairperson of the Labor, Health and Social Affairs Committee Nazira Mukhtorova spoke about the activities and powers of the Legislative Chamber, the process of drafting laws and regulatory documents, and the procedure for considering legislative proposals.
During the visit, GLLP participants met with the deputies and discussed reforms in the national legal system and legislative initiatives in various fields.
The participants got acquainted with the activities of the library and museum of the Legislative Chamber, the plenary session hall.
This meeting created an opportunity for the participants of the program to develop their leadership skills and gain a deeper understanding of the public administration system.
