Uzbekistan - a major conference within the USA Health Week

Today, in the Trilliant Tashkent hotel in our capital, a large conference was held as part of the Uzbekistan-USA health care week.

The event was opened by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Amrillo Inoyatov. Andrea Palm, deputy head of the US Department of Health and Human Services, delivered an online video message at the conference. In his address, he expressed his views on the prospects of cooperation in the field of medicine between the two countries.

This two-day event is attended by health officials of the two countries, representatives of the diplomatic corps, scientists and experts, leading private medical centers of the USA, and heads of large pharmaceutical companies.
It is worth noting that mutual relations between the two countries are strengthening in many areas, such as pharmaceuticals, laboratory research, personnel training.

During the conference, memorandums of mutual cooperation were signed between medical higher education institutions, medical centers and pharmaceutical enterprises of Uzbekistan and the USA.

In particular, a Memorandum was signed between the Centre for Retraining and Advanced Training of Personnel in the Field of Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health and Temple University.

Within the framework of the memorandum:
✔️ exchange of teachers and personnel;
✔️ exchange of researchers and graduate students;
✔️ exchange of scientific materials, articles and scientific information;
✔️ it was agreed to conduct programs, scientific conference and research in cooperation.
