Training of laboratory managers in Uzbekistan is being supported by WHO

Today in our capital, the Centre for Retraining and Advanced Training of Personnel in the Field of Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health under the Committee of Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health in the framework of the "Global Program for Laboratory Leaders/Managers" (GLLP) on the modules "Overview of a typical laboratory system", "Basic elements of a laboratory system", "Applied research on infectious diseases", "Development of the laboratory system: perspectives" and "Basics of unified health" seminar-training started its work.

At the beginning of the seminar-training, the director of the center for retraining and improving the skills of personnel in the field of sanitary and epidemiological welfare and public health, Ural Shukurov, said that a project aimed at adapting the activities of national laboratories to international standards is being implemented in Uzbekistan in order to act quickly in emergencies that threaten public health, and as a result, the Global Program for Laboratory Leaders (GLLP) was developed with international partners, and the importance of the program.

During the workshop, participants will participate in hands-on activities, interactive workshops, and personal coaching. This enables them to implement best practices and innovative solutions in their field.
