It was attended by national and international partners and program winners. This two-year program aims to empower current and future laboratory leaders to strengthen and sustainably develop national laboratory systems and ensure they play a critical role in disease prevention, detection and control.

The GLLP program is implemented in cooperation with the World Health Organization, and the implementation of the program in Uzbekistan is financially supported by USAID and the Global Fund.

During the opening ceremony, certificates of successful completion of the first module of the program were presented to 20 participants of the GLLP program selected among more than 80 applications related to human, animal and plant health across Uzbekistan.

During the next two years of the program, participants will participate in hands-on training, interactive workshops, and personal coaching. This enables them to implement best practices and innovative solutions in their field.
