Seminar-training for Mentors and facilitators within the GLLP program

A seminar-training for Mentors and facilitators was held within the framework of the GLLP program at the center for retraining and professional development of personnel in the field of sanitary-epidemiological tranquility and public health.

At the beginning of the seminar-training JJoanna Salvi le Garres, Technical Specialist of WHO Regional Bureau for Europe and Central Asia, Leader of "Good Laboratories - Strong Health" Initiative Based on the technical support of the health organization, a project aimed at adapting the activities of national laboratories to international standards is being implemented in Uzbekistan in order to act quickly in emergency situations that threaten public health, and as a result, the Global Program for Laboratory Leaders (GLLP) was developed with international partners, and the importance of the program was discussed.

It should be noted that this program covers sectors such as human health, animal health, and environmental protection, and is aimed at improving and further developing the national system of laboratories by providing mentoring support to the heads of laboratories in this direction and training personnel.

During the training, the participants were introduced to mentoring, facilitation and mentor-student directions, their methods and qualifications. In addition, practical coaching sessions were conducted on competence self-assessment and planning.
