A seminar-training "Emergency preparedness, response and recovery" was organized within the framework of the Global Program for Laboratory Leaders/Managers (GLLP) in cooperation with the Centre for Retraining and Advanced Training of Personnel in the Field of Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health and WHO.
This training provides laboratory managers with practical knowledge and skills in effective emergency response, team management and safety.

Training modules:
Provide emergency preparedness – hazard identification, prevention measures and planning.
Emergency response - rapid response, management and coordination of resources.
Post-disaster recovery – assessing damage, restoring operations and developing protection strategies for the future.
At the opening of the seminar-training, the director of the Centre for Retraining and Advanced Training of Personnel in the Field of Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health, Ural Shukurov, noted that a project aimed at adapting the activities of national laboratories to international standards in emergency situations that threaten public health is being implemented in Uzbekistan, which laid the groundwork for the development of the GLLP program based on international cooperation.
During the workshop, participants took part in practical exercises, interactive workshops and personal coaching processes. This enabled them to implement best practices and innovative solutions in their fields.
The goal is to strengthen the leadership skills of laboratory leaders, effective management in emergency situations, and the implementation of international experiences in national practice.
