Training courses on "Biological safety and biological protection".

A 5-day training course on "Biological safety and biological defense" was held in our capital in cooperation with the center for retraining and improving the skills of personnel in the field of sanitary and epidemiological welfare and public health and the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS).

Specialists of the Andijan and Fergana Regional Departments of the Sanepid Committee participated in the courses and increased their theoretical and practical knowledge on biosafety, bioprotection, risk management and emergency preparedness.

The reports of specialists of the Sanepid Committee N.Karshiyeva, G.Radjapbayeva, as well as experts of the field - M.Madaminov, I.Zaitov were heard. They covered biological hazard levels, biosafety principles, and dangerous infections.

During the course, the participants got acquainted with the activities of the Virology Laboratory of the Sanepid Committee, and the laboratory employee I. Zaitov gave detailed information about biosecurity control measures.

At the end, certificates were handed over to participating experts from Andijan and Fergana regions.

Today, the next training courses for the specialists of the Namangan and Syrdarya regional departments of the Sanepid Committee have started.
