Training courses on "Biological safety and biological protection" were held

Today, the issue of biological safety is very urgent for the world community. The rapid spread of infectious diseases, the emergence of new pathogens and the increase in biological threats on a global scale require the training of specialists in the field of biosecurity even more. Therefore, it is very important to constantly improve the knowledge and skills of personnel in order to protect public health, identify risks early and minimize their consequences.

For this purpose, in cooperation with the Centre for Retraining and Advanced Training of Personnel in the Field of Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health and the United Nations Office of Project Services (UNOPS), training courses on "Biological safety and biological protection" were organized for specialists of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and regional departments of Sanepidgom.

The relevance of the course is that it prepares specialists to work on the basis of modern approaches in the conditions of biological threats, forms the skills of risk management and correct decision-making in emergency situations. In these courses, more than 100 specialists strengthened their knowledge based on international standards and best practices.

During the training, the participants got acquainted with biological risk levels, principles of biosafety, standards used in working with dangerous infections, and response mechanisms to global biological threats. This is an important factor in creating a stable system against infections in the regions.

The practical value of the course is that the specialists acquired the necessary skills in biosecurity, bioprotection and risk elimination, gained experience in emergency preparedness through practical training.

The participants got acquainted with the activities of the Virology Laboratory of the Sanepid Committee and received practical instructions on biosafety control.

At the end of the course, certificates were awarded to all participants.
