The 4th phase of the KOISA R&D training program has been successfully completed

In our capital, the 4th stage of the educational program dedicated to the topic "Development of opportunities for scientific research, innovation, creation of new knowledge and technologies and their implementation (R&D)" was successfully completed.

Specialists of the Sanepid Committee, Centre for Retraining and Advanced Training of Personnel in the Field of Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health, Research Institute of Virology, and Tashkent State Medical University participated in the seminar, which was organized in the framework of the project "Reducing the burden of diseases in Uzbekistan and improving the system of combating infectious diseases" implemented in cooperation with Koryo University and the Sanepid Committee.

During the seminar, leading specialists from the Republic of Korea - professors Chun Byung Chul, Yoon Young Kyung (in the field of epidemiology and infectious diseases) conducted training sessions and trainings on strengthening the national research capacity in the field of infectious diseases management, as well as writing scientific articles.

Within the framework of the program, the participants took an active part in the international scientific-practical conference on "Infections and public health: current problems and their solutions" organized at the Urganch State Medical Institute. Within the KOISA section, 12 participants presented 8 scientific presentations on the topic "Strengthening global health cooperation in the fight against infectious diseases: strategies, approaches and mechanisms".

During the event, issues of prevention of infectious and parasitic diseases, improvement of modern diagnostic and preventive methods, implementation of innovative solutions and expansion of scientific cooperation between local and foreign experts were discussed.
